Welcome to Arlington’s Learn to Lax Program. We are in the third year of the program and looking to make some changes. Unlike our U-9 Travel Teams, Learn to Lax does not offer any competitive games or formal competition. Learn to Lax is an in-town program that consists of a one hour-long clinic on Saturdays. No pads are needed for this program and sticks will be provided for every participant. This program is available to both male and female athletes who are in either Pre-School or Kindergarten. In a less competitive format, using familiar games like Sharks and Minnows and Simon Says, participants will be introduced to the five fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun, informal environment. Throughout the sessions participants will learn the following essential lacrosse skills needed to excel on the more competitive U-9 Travel Teams:
This year's program and hoping as a model for the future will be scheduled in between our U9 and U11 practices on Saturday mornings. The goal is to have some of the newer kids from both ages to have the chance to do some more skills works during the Learn to Lax sessions. Some K kids who are more advanced and have pads can also practice with the U9 team
Registration cost is $140 and includes a lacrosse stick and cradle ball
